Most people try to change their patterns. Very few ever see what’s creating them.
That’s why the same reactions, conflicts, and misunderstandings keep repeating
even when you’re trying to do things differently.
At Soul Refinery, the focus is simple:
bring into view what is actually happening as you respond.
Because once that becomes clear, what once felt automatic begins to lose its hold.
Soul Refinery works with the mechanisms behind perception, interpretation, and relational behaviour, so what is happening in real time becomes visible, and your responses are no longer purely automatic.
Sometimes you can genuinely be trying your best in your relationships and still keep ending up in the same painful dynamics.
Coming Home is a structured process that explores how perception forms, how meaning is created, and how these movements shape lived relational experience. Attention begins to orient from the surface of interaction toward the subtle processes underneath it, where what determines connection or disconnection is already taking shape.
Experience is explored as it is organised through belief and assumption, how meaning forms before words are spoken, and how this shaping influences what is expressed and how it is received. Attention is also brought into real relational moments as they unfold, so what is normally taken as “just how things are” can become visible while it is happening.
Coming Home supports direct recognition of the processes already active in relationship as they are occurring, making visible what is usually unseen and supporting behaviour to align more closely with deeper relational intentions.
Harmony Home is a series of three introductory workshops designed to interrupt, reveal, and reorganise awareness around the communication patterns and relational habits that often move people further apart while trying to come together - patterns that persist because the way they are created often remains unseen.
While particularly relevant to parenting and family life, these patterns apply across all forms of relationship where attempts to create cooperation unintentionally produce the opposite of what is intended.
Each workshop focuses on a different relational pattern that commonly operates unnoticed, shaping how people respond to requests, responsibility, honesty, and everyday interaction.
Rather than offering communication techniques to apply after problems arise, Harmony Home makes visible the patterns already shaping interaction in real time, so they can be recognised while they are unfolding.
Harmony Home is an introduction to the Soul Refinery approach and the broader Coming Home workshops, offering direct engagement with how relational patterns are recognised and worked within real situations.
Clarity Calls provide dedicated, practical post Coming Home workshop support to help you apply what you are learning in real-life situations. They are designed to help you work through sticking points, notice where familiar patterns are still shaping your responses, and stay connected to the shifts emerging through your workshop experience.
As one participant shared, “It really helped having a place to talk things through when I was in it. I could see where I was slipping into old patterns, and it made it easier to reset.”
Each session is 50 minutes and can be booked in two ways:
Single sessions for targeted support when needed
A bundle of 6 sessions over 6 weeks for sustained continuity and integration
The bundle is recommended for maintaining momentum and supporting deeper change over time
Some things can only be learned in practice, with others, over time. Many participants continue beyond the workshops in small, self-initiated group, working together through real conversations and real situations. There are no designated leaders. Leadership is shared, rotated, and grown into as part of the process itself. This is where insight stops being intellectual and becomes lived. Where the consistency and continuity required for lasting change is no longer dependent on one person, but a shared responsibility that elevates everyone's capacity to collaborate and contribute to sustaining trust and respect, in equal measure.
Weekly 80-min self-facilitated online group sessions lead by participants who have completed the Coming Home Workshops
A space to practise relational awareness through real conversations and lived situations
Peer-based environment for ongoing integration and refinement of skills
From time to time, Fitzroy joins the group to stay connected to the lived application and integrity of the process

“I realised I couldn’t control other people, only my response to them. That shifted everything. The friction in my relationships didn’t disappear because others changed, it changed because I did.
I stopped trying to manage outcomes and started seeing what was actually happening. From there, everything became clearer, calmer, and surprisingly more effective.
It wasn’t about tactics. It was about finally seeing reality properly.”

It’s like I have seamlessly shifted to a completely different timeline. There’s silence in my head for the first time in years, and I really like that the tools provided seem to work retrospectively as well as in the now. So grateful I stumbled upon your work Fitz, it has been
incredibly illuminating.

If I'd had access to Soul Refinery knowledge supported by IC practice ten years ago,
I would never have joined a bikie gang.

If you’re here, there’s a good chance you’ve experienced the pain, exhaustion, confusion, or loneliness that can arise when relationships feel fractured, misunderstood, or painfully disconnected.
Our intention is to support the delivery of knowledge, insight, and embodied relational practices that help reorient you toward empathic connection, a way of relating deeply natural to human beings, with the power to heal relational tension within partnerships, families, and communities.
Before offering financial support that makes it possible for us to continue translating knowledge into embodied relational practices for others, we invite you to gently consider the energy behind your intention for joining us.
Many people come seeking relief from struggles in their own relationships, greater clarity, or a deeper understanding of why life and maintaining connection can feel so overwhelming at times. We have found that when this personal motivation is accompanied by an openness to participate in the natural exchange of giving and receiving that makes it possible for others to access this knowledge and support, the experience often becomes deeper, more meaningful, and more satisfying.
If your financial contribution arises from a genuine enjoyment of giving, care for others, gratitude for what has been received, or a desire to support meaningful change in the lives of others, we would be deeply grateful to receive it from that energy.
